Manufacturers, labs and plants across Ontario buy their purified water from Puretap. We make distilled, deionized and demineralized water at our own plant at 950 Verbena Road in Mississauga, so you deal directly with the producer for the water, the paperwork and the delivery.
Water we supply for industry
- Distilled water, tested at 0 to 5 ppm on every batch: for autoclaves, lab equipment, humidification and anywhere you need minerals, bacteria and most other impurities removed. See distilled water.
- Deionized water, made with ion exchange resin: for process water, rinsing, batteries and work where conductivity is the specification. See deionized water.
- Demineralized water, for customers whose specification calls for it by that name.

Common questions
Should we use distilled or deionized water?
Use deionized water when conductivity is the specification, such as process rinse water and batteries. Use distilled water when you also need bacteria and most other impurities removed, such as autoclaves and lab equipment. Tell us what the water is going into and we will tell you which you need.
Can you supply water on a regular schedule?
Yes. We can deliver drums, totes or cases on a fixed schedule so you never run short.
Do you provide Safety Data Sheets?
Yes. Safety Data Sheets for distilled, deionized and demineralized water are free to download from our website.
What is the largest volume you can supply?
We fill 1,000 L totes at our plant and deliver larger volumes by tanker. Ask for a tanker quote with your volume and site.
