18 L (5 gallon) distilled water, distilled in Mississauga

The 18 L bottle is the one most of our customers end up on. It is the cheapest way to buy distilled water per litre, it fits any standard cooler, and it means somebody is not opening a new jug every second day.

We distil it ourselves at 950 Verbena Road. Every batch tests between 0 and 5 parts per million total dissolved solids, which is as close to nothing as water gets. Steam distilled, sealed, date coded.

Where to buy it

Pick it up. 950 Verbena Road, Mississauga, Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 15:30. No appointment, no minimum. Bring your empties back at the same time.

Have it delivered. We run our own trucks across the Greater Toronto Area: Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Oakville, Vaughan, Markham, Burlington, Milton and the towns in between. Our own drivers, so if something is wrong you are talking to us rather than a courier.

Set it and forget it. A monthly or quarterly standing order arrives without anybody having to remember, and the empties go back on the same visit.

The bottle deposit, in plain terms

Each 18 L bottle carries a $10 refundable deposit, plus HST. You get it back when the bottle comes back to us in good reusable condition. The bottle has to carry its Puretap label, be tied to the account that paid the deposit, and have held water only. That is the whole rule.

Common questions

Where can I buy distilled water near me?
If you are in the GTA, here. Pickup at 950 Verbena Road in Mississauga, Monday to Friday 8:00 to 15:30, or delivery on our own trucks anywhere across the Greater Toronto Area. Most grocery stores carry 4 L jugs at a much higher price per litre.

Is it really distilled, or just filtered?
Distilled. We boil it and condense the steam, which is why it comes out at 0 to 5 ppm. Filtered water in the GTA typically still reads 80 to 250 ppm because carbon filters do not remove dissolved minerals.

Is distilled water safe to drink?
Yes, for healthy adults. It has no minerals in it, which for almost everybody is irrelevant because minerals come from food. Our longer answer is here.

How does the deposit work?
$10 per bottle, refundable when the labelled bottle comes back in good condition. Blank wholesale bottles sold empty carry no deposit and are not redeemable.

Do you deliver to my area?
We cover the GTA on our own trucks. Call 905-670-7400 with your postal code and we will tell you straight away, including which day your street falls on.

How much do I need?
A CPAP user goes through roughly one 18 L bottle a month. An office of ten drinking it goes through two or three a week. If you are not sure, start with two and we will work it out from your reorder rate.
