Puretap supplies deionized and demineralized water to labs, manufacturers, car washes, battery rooms and workshops across Ontario. We make it at our own plant at 950 Verbena Road in Mississauga and deliver it on our own trucks, or you can pick it up Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Deionized, demineralized or distilled?
- Deionized (DI) water is passed through ion exchange resin, which pulls out dissolved minerals and salts such as calcium, magnesium and sodium. It is the usual choice for spot free rinsing, batteries and many industrial processes.
- Demineralized water means the same idea: water with its minerals removed. Many suppliers use the two names for the same product.
- Distilled water is boiled into steam and condensed, which also leaves behind bacteria and many other impurities. It is the better choice where purity beyond minerals matters, such as autoclaves and medical equipment. See our distilled water.

Is deionized water the same as distilled water?
No. Deionized water has its minerals removed by ion exchange resin. Distilled water is boiled and condensed, which removes minerals and also most other impurities. Both are low in minerals, but they are made differently.
Can I get deionized water in bulk?
Yes. We fill 210 L drums and 1,000 L totes, and deliver larger volumes by tanker.
